Rabbit strips are an excellent fly tying material due to their natural movement in the water. The soft, dense fur flows and pulsates with even the slightest water current or twitch of the fly, imitating the lifelike undulations of baitfish, shrimp, and crustaceans. These are considered to be the highest quality strips on the market dyed and cut by the fine folks at Hareline Dubbin.

Standard Rabbit Strips:The rabbit strips are cut with the fur parallel to the hide. Perfect to use as tails and crab claws.

Barred Rabbit Strips: A standard rabbit strip with a black barring silkscreened onto the fur. The result is increased perceived movement under water and gives the fly added contrast.

Crosscut Rabbit Strips: The rabbit strips are cut with the fur perpendicular to the hide (crosscut). This allows for the strip to be palmered around the hook and create a collar or a bulky head to the fly.
